The Mermaid of Edam

Written and Directed by Kit Goldstein

Produced by Dee Mulford

In the Dutch city of Edam, famed for its industry, cleanliness and cheese, there is no time for silliness and imagination. The strict Burgomaster insists that his daughter, Katrijn, spend her time on housekeeping and cheese making, rather than her true dream of being a painter.

When a storm washes a mermaid into the town square, both the Burgomaster and his daughter learn an important lesson about individuality and the risk of conformity.
